Fines for traffic violations
Encounters with the police at the roadside are relatively rare. From time to time, however, the traffic police carry out mass checks. For a first offence, a driver may receive a warning. After that, fines, vehicle impoundment and other penalties may be imposed.

Speed Limit
In Manila, as in the rest of the country, the following speed limits apply:
- Within built-up areas on narrow local roads, the maximum speed is 30 km/h;

Parking
In Manila, there are both paid and free car parks.
