Sunshine car rental — FAQ
We recommend booking as early as possible in Sunshine. Prices usually rise closer to the pick-up date, especially in peak seasons and on weekends. Advance booking gives you a better choice of car classes, automatic transmission, and supplier options. Last-minute rentals may be limited or more expensive, particularly at airports and popular downtown locations.
The deposit is usually released within a few days after drop-off in Sunshine. The exact timing depends on your bank and card provider; most unblock the amount within 3-14 business days. Any traffic fines, damage, or missing fuel may delay or reduce the refunded sum, according to the supplier's terms.
The excess, or deductible, is the maximum amount you pay if the car is damaged or stolen in Sunshine. The rental company covers costs above this limit. Excess levels vary by car class and supplier; you can often reduce or waive it by purchasing additional insurance or full coverage before pick-up.
Some suppliers in Sunshine accept debit cards, but conditions apply. You may need proof of return travel, higher deposit, or extra insurance. Availability of no-deposit / no-credit-card deals is limited and depends on the location, car category, and your age and driving history.
Average daily prices in Sunshine depend on season, demand, and car type. Economy cars are usually cheapest, while SUVs, vans, and automatics cost more. The total includes base rate, taxes, mandatory fees, and any extras you choose, like GPS, child seats, or additional drivers. Early booking often secures lower prices.
Bookingcar compares multiple suppliers in Sunshine in one search. You can filter by price, rating, fuel policy, and mileage, then book instantly with secure payment. Transparent conditions, 24/7 support, and clear voucher instructions help you avoid surprises at the counter and make it easier to manage or modify your reservation.
Returning the car late in Sunshine may result in extra charges. Many companies allow a short grace period, but beyond that they can charge additional hours or a full extra rental day. If you expect to be late, contact the rental office as soon as possible to discuss options and minimize potential penalties.
Cross-border travel is often restricted and must be approved in advance. When booking in Sunshine, check the supplier's terms for allowed countries, extra insurance, and border-crossing fees. Unauthorized international travel can void coverage and lead to serious penalties, so always list your intended routes before confirming.
Speed limits vary by state and local signage, but typical limits are:
Residential / built-up areas: 50 km/h
School zones (signed times): 25–40 km/h
Rural roads: 80–100 km/h
Highways / freeways: 100–110 km/h
Always follow posted signs, as limits change near roadworks, towns and high-risk wildlife areas.

"We rented as a group of friends for a weekend trip. The car itself drove well and was surprisingly fuel efficient. However, the pickup took longer than expected, and we had to wait for the car to be cleaned even though we arrived on time."

"I was travelling alone for work and needed something dependable. The small hatchback was ready on time, spotless, and easy to park everywhere. Staff were friendly but not pushy, and the return took just a couple of minutes. I’d happily book through this site again."
