Parking
Zakynthos is largely a rural island, so parking problems should not arise outside the main town. In the island's capital you can easily find both free and paid parking. To use paid parking, you simply buy a special card at a kiosk. To activate it, you must mark the parking start time and then place the card on the inside of the windscreen. There are strictly defined zones in all car parks: yellow spaces are reserved for emergency and special service vehicles, blue for vehicles of local residents, and white for visitors to the island with a rented car.
